Remembrance Day ceremonies in Grande Prairie area

There will be many ceremonies held throughout the greater Grande Prairie area communities on Monday November 11, to commemorate Remembrance Day.

Legion Ceremony

The Bonnetts Energy Centre in downtown Grande Prairie will host the Grande Prairie Legion #54’s ceremony.

Doors open at 9:45 a.m., ceremony starts at 10:45 a.m.

There will be be a Remembrance Day parade in Grande Prairie, organized by ANAVETS Unit 389.

It starts at 10:45 a.m., and will go from from Trinity Lutheran Church on 104 Avenue, down 100 Street to the Cenotaph in Jubilee Park

Following the ceremony, the parade will march back down 100 Street to 104 Ave and be dismissed from there.

The Sexsmith Legion #60 will be hosting its annual ceremony at the Sexsmith Civic Centre on November 11.

It will start at 10 a.m.

The Beaverlodge Legion Branch #121 will be holding a service in the Community Centre at 10:50 a.m. on November 11.
