Midget Elite Storm kick off 2nd round of playoffs in Sherwood Park

The Peace Country Female Athletic Club Midget Elite Storm begin their 2nd round playoff series Friday night in Sherwood Park against the Fury.

Storm Head Coach Dan Death shares how his club will need to bring their ‘A’ game against an extremely talented Fury squad.

“They are a good team. There is a good reason why they have been at the top of the league all year. They are a good team that likes to stretch the ice out a lot. It really forces you to play as a unit and be aware out on the ice.”

These two teams will be quite familiar with one and other as they battled it out 3 times to close the regular season.

“There has been a natural rivalry created with those last 3 games and a lot on the line. Both teams played hard. So the key for us is to play our game and not let our emotions take over.”

Puck drop for Game 1 is Friday night at 8:45 p.m. in Sherwood Park.

Game 2 is slated for 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
