County of Grande Prairie encouraging residents to build outdoor rinks

County of Grande Prairie residents interested in starting and maintaining an outdoor rink this winter, are invited to apply for a County program.

The Stormwater Ponds Ice Surface Volunteer Program is accepting applications until Saturday, November 30, from anyone interested in creating their own recreational stormwater pond ice surface on county municipal reserve land.

In the release, the County also asked residents to help “spread the word” about this program, by telling their neighbours, friends and family.
