MD of Peace implementing permanent road bans

The Municipal District of Peace has announced several permanent road bans due to weight restrictions in their community.

  • RR242 north of Hwy 2 for 2 miles (Bylaw No.686) – over 1 ton prohibited,
  • RR242 north of Hwy 685 for 1 ¾ miles (Bylaw No. 848) – over 1 ton prohibited,
  • TWP834 west of Hwy 2 for 3 miles (no bylaw) – 90% vehicle axle weight,
  • RR231 south of Hwy 2 for 2 miles (no bylaw) – over 1 ton prohibited,
  • RR233 south of McInnis Well house to TWP 834 – over 1 ton prohibited

These restrictions are in effect year-round, the MD is thanking everyone for their understanding.
