Fairview Health Complex ED temporary disruption

Alberta Health Services says the Fairview Health Complex emergency department will be without an onsite physician for 24 hours starting at 7 a.m. on Friday, November 29.

During the closure, nursing staff will remain on-site to perform urgent triage assessments and referrals to neighbouring facilities. EMS will reroute callers to neighbouring facilities.

If AHS finds coverage, a doctor is expected to be back in the ED at 8 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, or earlier, if AHS can find coverage.
