Snowfall warnings issued

Nov 28, 2024 | 4:50 PM

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview forecast area.

There are also warnings out for the Whitecourt and Fox Creek areas and the south part of the BC Peace.

Twenty to 30 centimetres of snow is expected between this evening (Thursday, November 28) through Monday, December 2.

According to Environment Canada, some areas could see up to 50 centimetres.

Snowfall is expected to intensify overnight before slowing down on Friday, November 29; heavy snowfall is then expected to start again on Saturday, November 30 and last for the rest of the weekend.

Environment Canada does warn residents that a lack of visibility may become a problem with the heavy snowfall in the forecast.
