Christmas Tree Light-Up and Battle of the Badges at Bonnett’s on Sunday

All community members are invited to join in on the seasonal festivities this down at Bonnett’s Energy Centre for the Christmas Tree Light-Up on Sunday afternoon.

There will be free cookies, hot chocolate, and candy canes starting at 4 p.m., thanks to Beairsto & Associates Engineering Inc., and the tree lighting ceremony taking place shortly after at approximately 4:35 p.m.

Santa will make an appearance and family-friendly Christmas movie will be played in the Bowes after the lighting of the tree from 4:45 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Shortly afterwards, local police and firefighters will take to the ice at Bonnetts Energy Centre for the annual Battle of the Badges at 6:00 p.m. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and admission is by donation, with the proceeds going to the Helping Hands Society of Grande Prairie.

The Battle of the Badges is hosted by the Grande Prairie Firefighters Charitable Foundation to raise funds for other local non-profits in the city.
