Emergency department without doctor at Central Peace Health Complex

Alberta Health Services says the emergency department will be without an onsite physician at the Central Peace Health Complex from 8 a.m. Monday, December 2, to 8 a.m. Tuesday, December 3.

AHS says people should still call 911 in an emergency. EMS calls will be rerouted to the, Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, or other facilities.

Nurses do remain on site in the facility’s Acute Care, but no staff available in the ED.

Anyone with a non-emergency health question can call 811, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
