South Peace Regional Archives closed due to flooding

The South Peace Regional Archives will be closed until further notice due to flooding.

The archives will be working to evaluate the damages caused by the flooding and undertaking any required clean-up and maintenance.

The flooding has impacted staff workspaces and will affect their ability to respond to research requests at this time.

The archives says the flooding was caused by the rapid freeze-thaw cycle backing up the drainage pipes and leaks, but that no areas where archival records were stored have been impacted.

They are thanking the public for their support and understanding.
