Fort St. John RCMP investigating after bullet strikes home

Fort St. John RCMP are investigating after what they describe as “a stray bullet” struck a home.

Mounties say they got a report just before 7:30 Friday morning about damage caused to the home on 117 Avenue.

The bullet had gone through an exterior wall and hit a door and cabinet inside.

No one was hurt.

Police say that to this point, the investigation has found that the bullet came from a nearby home and that this was nor targeted, related to the drug trade, or a threat to the community.
