PRSD board promotes acting superintendent to full time position

Peace River School Division has appointed its new superintendent.

Dr. Jeff Thompson has been promoted to the role full time after serving as the acting superintendent following the departure of Adam Murray.

Dr. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Science and Education degrees, a Master of Education and a PHD in Educational leadership.

He says has enjoyed his past seven years with the division and is excited to continue in the role of superintendent.

PRSD Board Chair Crystal owens says the Board is confident that Dr. Thompson is the best choice as they move forward with a focus on teaching, learning, and quality outcomes for students.

PRSD’s Board of Trustees appointed Dr. Thompson during a special meeting, December 4.
