County of Grande Prairie accepting firework permit applications

The County of Grande Prairie is accepting applications from anyone wanting to celebrate the new year with fireworks.

Firework permit applications are free to the public and can be filled out online, with a deadline set for Thursday, December 19 at 4:30 p.m.

In the same release, the county also shared some firework safety tips; keeping your pets indoors to minimize stress and informing your neighbours in advance if you’re going to be lighting off fireworks.
