Grande Prairie Christian School students donate to Mustard Seed residents

Grade 6 students at Grande Prairie Christian School have made a donation for the Mustard Seed of Grande Prairie’s residents.

The classroom raised $3,700 to purchase personalized gift bags for the residents, purchased by the students personally.

Grade 6 teacher Juliana Davidson says active citizenship is part of their social studies curriculum, and the class researched organizations to be active with at Christmas before choosing the Mustard Seed.

The Mustard Seed’s Kendra Sledding says the student’s fundraising efforts mean each of the Seed’s 50 residents will receive a gift bag, complete with hand-written cards and additional hygiene items.
