Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation receives $4M funding for Ken Sargent House project

Dec 20, 2024 | 6:00 AM

The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation is celebrating a $4 million donation towards its hospital accommodations project.

On November 16, the Rotary Wellness Centre Society presented the foundation with the donation to support the creation of the Ken Sargent House.

It will serve as a home-away-from home for patients and their families receiving medical care at Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.

Ken Sargent House director Dale Bond says the house will care for families needs, so they can focus on their loved one during medical treatment.

Rotary Clubs Wellness Centre Society president Bernd Manz says the partnership between the society and the foundation will make the facility a reality and provide a lasting benefit to the region.

The house is to be built on land donated by Northwestern Polytechnic with all operations overseen by the foundation.
