Local ski hills open for the weekend

All three local ski hills; Nitehawk Adventure Park, Fairview Ski Hill and Whispering Pines Ski Hill are now open.

Cold temperatures did keep the hills closed for parts of the weekday, but now those conditions have improved.

Nitehawk will be open until 5 p.m. today (Saturday, January 4); however, the Tube Zone will be closed. Fairview Ski Hill will also be open until 5 p.m. while Whispering Pines will be open until 4 p.m.

All three hills are expected to be open once again tomorrow, pending weather.
