Nominations open for County of Grande Prairie 2025 Municipal Election

The County of Grande Prairie is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Municipal Election.

Interested residents will be able to run to join County Council and represent one of nine electoral divisions.

County Manager Joulia Whittleton says the election is a pivotal moment for community members to get involved.

Residents with an interest in shaping the County’s future can find nomination packages on the County’s website.

You can stay up to date on key dates and announcements by following the County’s social media, nomination packages can be found on the County’s website.

The nomination period goes till September 22, with election day on October 20.
