Fort St. John RCMP investigating incident involving a child

Jan 10, 2025 | 6:55 PM

RCMP in Fort St. John say they are asking for the public’s help in their investigation of an incident involving a child that happened on the afternoon of Friday, January 10.

Police did not give specifics on what they believed took place, but do say what they call a “suspicious occurrence” involved a child in a pink, one-piece snow suit and purple tuque who had been walking in the area of 108 Street and 102 Avenue just after 3 p.m.

Mounties say a black sedan with possible damage to the front end may have been involved.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in that area at that time to check any dash cam footage they may have to see if there is video of the child or the car.

Anyone who has information that can help in the investigation is asked to contact the Fort St John RCMP at 250-787-8100.

Those who want to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip online at www.northernbccrimestoppers.ca.
