SNOW SQUALL WATCH

Snow Squalls reported for Grande Prairie area

Jan 15, 2025 | 4:13 PM

Environment Canada is reporting a narrow band of snow squalls to reach the County of Grande Prairie and MD of Greenview area by tomorrow morning. (Thursday, January 16)

The squalls are expected to produce brief but intense snowfall, combined with gusty winds up to 80 km/h.

Snow squalls can cause weather conditions to vary considerably, changing from clear skies to heavy snow within a few kilometres and running the risk of reducing visibility to near zero.

You are advised to continue monitoring alerts and forecasts and stay up to date with Environment Canada.
