Fairview RCMP makes arrest following arson investigation

Fairview RCMP have arrested a suspect following an investigation of residential fires that occurred last year.

On April 25, 2024, Fairview RCMP assisted the Fairview Fire Department in ensuring people’s safety while responding to multiple fires in the area of 108 Avenue.

An arson investigator was contacted to determine the cause of the fire.

On January 14, 2025, Fairview RCMP charged 48-year-old Blake Everett Lee with five charges:

Arson for fraudulent purpose
Arson: Recklessly cause damage by fire x2
Warrant (Fairview): Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
Warrant (Fairview): Uttering threats

Lee was brought before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded with a court date of February 12.
