Jan 21, 2025 | 2:48 PM

Grande Prairie RCMP say proactive patrols downtown have led to a drug arrest.

Mounties were patrolling the 101 Avenue area on Monday, January 20, when they stopped a vehicle.

Police say they noticed suspicious behaviour like the driver trying to get out of the vehicle, fidgeting, and arguing with police.

A search turned up 224 grams of suspected cocaine, seven grams of suspected methamphetamine, 17 suspected alprazolam tablets, and other drugs including 10 units of what police think is oxycodone and 3.65 grams of suspected heroin.
