Emergency department Closure

Beaverlodge Municipal emergency department closed Feb 10-11

The Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital emergency department will be without an on-site physician for 24 hours starting Monday, February 10.

Due to an inability to secure physician coverage there will be no on-site physician from 8:00 a.m. Monday to 8:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Patients are still asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency as EMS will remain available to reroute callers to surrounding facilities.

Nursing staff will remain on-site in the Emergency Department providing urgent triage and assessments.

Virtual Emergency Physician coverage may be available, where experienced ED physicians can be reached remotely to support the ED temporarily during this service advisory.

If more coverage is found the disruption may be cancelled.
