County of Grande Prairie temporarily closing 148 Avenue rail crossing for rail repair work

The County of Grande Prairie is letting motorists know that a rail crossing east of Highway 2 will be closed starting Tuesday, February 11.

Repair work is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. at the rail crossing on 148 Avenue between Try Storage Grande Prairie and Horizon North Energy Services.

Motorists are advised to use caution around the work site and to allow extra travel time if they need to detour.

The crossing is expected to reopen Friday, February 14, weather permitting.
