Lac Cardinal Regional Economic Development Board partnering with Rural Development Network on housing idea

A program aimed at studying and improving sustainable housing options is coming to Lac Cardinal Country.

The Rural Development Network’s Sustainable Housing Initiative aims to support diverse, housing development in the area through extensive research say officials in a release.

They add the goals of the project partnership are to identify opportunities for enabling housing choices, understand what housing typology bester serves the community’s needs, and to increase affordable and diverse housing availability.

Board Chair Dave Allen says the collaboration will ensure that residents have access to safe, affordable housing options.
