2025 Passionate Heart Awards recipients

The 19th annual Passionate Heart Awards wrapped up on Friday, February 14.

The community was tasked with nominating deserving businesses, organizations, and individuals who go above and beyond in the social services sector, often without recognition.

The 2025 rendition of the event saw six individuals take home an award; Elizabeth Zazula with the Chris Henderson Lifetime Achievement Award, while Detective Jason McCormick, Diana Conrad, Kristy Jackson, Almas Choudhry and Greg Oppedisano were selected as award recipients.

In the business and community organization categories, the Dynamic Energy Group and Midwives of Grande Prairie were recognized.

Mayor Jackie Clayton attended the event and said, “These awards recognize the incredible impact of those who uplift and support others, making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.”

“Today, we celebrated the heart of our community – the individuals and organizations whose dedication to social services strengthens Grande Prairie and our region.”

This year, 32 individuals, businesses and organizations were nominated for these awards.
