Another lottery windfall in Grande Prairie

A Grande Prairie local has won $100,000 with a lotto ticket he had stopped checking.

Darrin Charles purchased his LOTTO MAX and EXTRA ticket November 15 but didn’t check it until January when he learnt he had won.

Charles says he used the Lotto Spot app three times to check his ticket before getting it scanned at the New Horizon Co-op.

He says when he finally took the ticket to the store to be scanned the cashier was more excited than he was.
