High Level RCMP issue shelter in place order

Mar 9, 2025 | 10:38 PM

UPDATE: High Level RCMP say that the shelter in place has been lifted and that a suspect is in custody.

High Level RCMP have issued a shelter in place order related to what they refer to as “a firearms complaint.”

“Residents who live between 103 and 105 Streets and 100 and 104 Avenues, are asked to stay in their homes, lock their doors and stay away from windows,” says a release from the RCMP.

People are asked not to share photos of any RCMP members on social media.

“We understand how situations such as this can make a community feel uneasy, but rest assured, your Alberta RCMP is working tirelessly to locate the suspect. We ask that the public remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or tips to the RCMP or Crime Stoppers,” add Mounties in the same release.
