Federal government investing in energy efficient retrofits for Grande Cache centre
A federal investment will support environmentally friendly renovations to a Grande Cache community centre.
On March 22, Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Nathaniel Erskine-Smith announced more then $153.8 million to support 70 energy-efficient projects across multiple regions in Canada.
In Grande Cache, $399,700 is being allocated to help cover retrofits for the Aseniwuche Winewack Nation of Canada Tawow Centre retrofit.
The upgrades are intended to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and operational costs by optimizing heating and cooling systems, improving insulation, and enhancing air quality.
