Peace Regional RCMP Alberta Traffic Unit pulls the license of impaired truck drivers in Manning
Peace Regional RCMP’s Alberta Traffic Unit suspended the licenses of two impaired truck drivers last week.
On April 25, just after 8:00 p.m., Manning RCMP and the Alberta Traffic Unit conducted a check stop in the area of Highway 35, stopping approximately 162 drivers.
During the check stop, two Super-B tractor-trailers were stopped and conducted mandatory alcohol screening.
One driver had a blood-alcohol concentration of 45 per cent and failed the Alberta Traffic Safety Act of zero-tolerance for alcohol with drivers of commercial vehicles, while the other failed their breath submission, meaning they were over 80 per cent and past the legal limit under the Criminal Code of Canada.
