May 2, 2025 | 7:00 AM

A Grande Prairie resident has been crowned the winner of a pageant competition celebrating body positivity.

Hannah Schulz was named Miss Fuller Woman 2025 as part of an event that uplifts women who embody resilience and beauty in all forms.

Schulz says she was not expecting to win the pageant when she entered.

“It was just something that I wanted to do to show my little sister that a woman of any weight could walk a runway,” Schulz says. “When I won, it was very unexpected, and I’m just so excited to be Miss Fuller Woman 2025 and to be able to use my platform to help younger girls with body confidence.”

She says she was very nervous entering the pageant but was happy to find a group of women working together to build each other up.

“Learning how to walk in heels for the first time, learning how to walk into a room confidently,” she says. “For me, the competition was really just a strengthening in my confidence in myself and in others. I’ve met incredible women that I’m so grateful to be able to know.”

As Miss Fuller Woman 2025, Schulz will attend community events and work to spread a message of body positivity to young women.

In her role as Miss Fuller Woman 2025, Schulz will participate in community events and advocate for body positivity among young women.

“I got the privilege over the Easter weekend to go and deliver Meals on Wheels to people for Easter, so that was really fun,” she says. “And also trying to talk to young girls and women of all ages about body positivity and confidence and empowerment.”
