Saddle Hills County partnering with PWPSD to appoint additional Outreach and Mental Health Professional

Saddle Hills County is partnering with Peace Wapiti Public School Division to provide additional mental health support to northern students.

Saddle Hills County Council has committed $112,500 to hire an additional Outreach and Mental Health Professional to provide direct clinical support to students and lead mental health outreach.

PWPSD Mental Health Clinical Supervisor Ashley Mercer says the position will play an important role in early mental health intervention and help meet the needs of students and families beyond the school environment.

Saddle Hills County Reeve Kristen Smith says they are delighted to partner with PWPSD and remove barriers to providing crucial early intervention support.
