Chamber of Commerce offering ways for businesses to prepare for emergencies

May 6, 2025 | 6:13 PM

The Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce wants to tell people in the Peace about building up resiliency for businesses in times of emergencies.

The chamber is working with the Alberta Chambers of Commerce and the Red Cross.

One thing being offered is the Red Cross Ready Program. This is meant to get businesses to “assess and improve their emergency preparedness.”

The Alberta chamber is hosting a pair of webinars on Building Business Resiliency. The first one is scheduled for May 7 at noon. There is another one on June 7, also at noon.

The chamber has also launched a Business Resiliency Survey. The three minute online survey is being done to “shape future programs and support.”
