April 14,1990 – May 4, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michel Thomas Prince, a beloved son, Father, nephew, grandson and friend, who left us too soon at the age of 35 on May 4, 2025, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.
Known for his infectious laughter, adventurous spirit, and kind heart, Michel brought joy to everyone he met. Whether he was cracking jokes, helping a friend in need, or lighting up a room with his smile, he made life brighter for those around him.
Michel was born in Grande Prairie Queen Elizabeth hospital to Monica Leah and Robert Pugh on April 14,1990. Michel was baptized at St. Joseph Church in Grande Prairie, and attended high school at Ridgevalley in Crooked Creek, AB. Michel went on to work in the Oil Field, where he made many friends and had good laughs.
Michel spent his life embracing every moment —whether it was exploring the great outdoors, cheering for his favorite team, or sharing stories over a campfire. His love for life was truly unmatched, and his presence was a gift to us all. One of Michel’s proudest moments was the birth of his son Zayd Prince, who he loved with all his heart and soul.
He is survived by his Mother Monica Leah, his son Zayd, as well as his grandmother, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever cherish his memory.
A Celebration of his life and luncheon will be held at 1:00 pm on May 11, 2025, at Bear Creek Funeral home in Grande Prairie, with a viewing beginning at 12 pm.
Though he is no longer with us, his laughter, kindness, and adventurous soul live on in our hearts. Rest easy Michel, you will forever be loved and missed.
Donations in memory of Michel, if desired, could be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
