UPDATE: High Prairie RCMP advise heavy police presence near Slave Lake over

High Prairie RCMP say that the heavy police presence near slave lake is now over.

RCMP say they were unable to locate the suspects, but a thorough search has been completed.

It is believed the suspects are no longer in the area.

The investigation into identifying the suspects continues.

High Prairie RCMP are advising the public of a heavy police presence in the Area of Highway 2.

Mounties are currently tracking two suspects in the area between Range Road 134 and 133 near Slave Lake following a pursuit.

Both suspects are described as wearing camouflage type clothing and residents are being advised to secure their doors.

You are being asked to report any suspicious activity to the police.

We will have more information as it becomes available.
