High Level RCMP make arrest in drug trafficking investigation

High Level RCMP have made an arrest following a lengthy drug trafficking investigation.

On May 1, High Level Mounties, with assistance by the Grande Prairie Alberta Law Enforcement team, executed a search warrant on a property on 98 Avenue in High Level over a year after receiving information of a suspect trafficking drugs.

As a result of the warrant, Mounties seized 33.6 grams of cocaine, $1305 in Canadian currency, suspected drug transaction documents and 940 unstamped tobacco cigarettes.

65-year-old High level resident Joanne Bulldog has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of unstamped tobacco products.

Bulldog was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions.

She is to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in High Level on May 26, 2025.
