On Monday at 6:52 p.m., Saddle Hills County issued an evacuation order for those residing in the Blueberry Mountain area.

An evacuation order is in place for everyone located between Range Road 95 and Highway 725, and Township Road 794 and 810, including Moonshine Lake Provincial Park. All those in the area should evacuate immediately.

The following areas are on an evacuation alert, between:

  • Range Road 95 and Highway 725, and Township 794 and Highway 49
  • Township Road 802 and Highway 49, and Highway 725 and Range Road 82

Anyone in these areas should be prepared to evacuate within one hour.

An Evacuation Centre has been set up at the Blueberry Mountain Hall, located at the Highway 680 and Range Road 82 intersection.
