County of Grande Prairie downgrading fire ban

The County of Grande Prairie has downgraded its fire ban, which has been in place since the end of May.

Wood campfires are now allowed on private land and campgrounds, along with propane-powered appliances.

However, no new fire permits will be issued, and those with a permit must follow all guidelines.

The County credited this downgrade to the recent rainfall.
