Two international competitions coming up for Grande Prairie Piranhas swimmer

It is going to be a busy summer for a member of the Grande Prairie Piranhas Swim Team

Oliver Dawson is one of 26 athletes named to Swimming Canada’s National Development Team.

The team will compete at the World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships August 19-24 in Romania.

Dawson has also been named to the Canadian team that will compete at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore. The pool portion of that competition will go from July 26 to August 3.

Dawson won the national championship in the men’s 200 metre Breaststroke at the recent Canadian trials in Victoria; the second straight year he has won the title in that event.
