Vehicle-school bus collision near Berwyn sends four people to hospital

Jun 24, 2025 | 2:41 PM

The Peace River School Division says a collision between a school bus and a passenger vehicle on Friday near Berwyn sent four people to hospital.

The division says in a release that a bus carrying two adults and one student was hit by a vehicle. The crash caused the bus to spin around, roll and land on its side.

The student was taken to hospital by ambulance while the two adults were taken for treatment by family.

All three were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital by STARS and is reported to be in stable condition.

The division goes on to say that this is a “critical reminder for all drivers to exercise caution and reduce speed,” especially when school buses are on the roads.

Officials also praised the bus driver for a “calm and professional response” while carrying out emergency procedures set by the school division.
