Extended hours for last minute tax payments at City Hall

Jun 25, 2025 | 12:00 PM

The property tax payment deadline is Monday, June 30.

Grande Prairie City Hall is making it easier for residents that haven’t already paid by extending the hours on June 26, 27, and 30.

The front-desk counter will be open during the following extended business hours:

  • Thursday, June 26: 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Friday, June 27: 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Monday, June 30: 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Accepted payment methods in-person are: cheque (current and postdated to the last business day of June), debit, cash, money order, and bank drafts. Credit card payments are being accepted online only.

Payments made after the June 30 deadline are subject to a 6 per cent penalty.

Online banking payments may take a few days to process and reach the City, so residents are being encouraged to do so as soon as possible to avoid penalties.

If you have any questions or wanting more information regarding taxes and tax payments, visit the City’s website or call 780538-0315.
