More measles cases confirmed in Grande Prairie

Alberta Health Services has been notified of a person infected with measles was out in a public setting twice in Grande Prairie last week.

Individuals who were in the following locations during the specified dates and times may have been exposed to measles:

9901 116 Street Grande Prairie

Exposure time periods:

June 26: Exposure time: Approx. 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. (June 26)

Location:

Real Canadian Superstore
12225 99th St Grande Prairie

Exposure time periods:

June 26: Exposure time: Approx. 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. (June 26)

Anyone who attended either of these locations, born in or after 1970 and has fewer than two documented doses of measles-containing vaccine, may be at risk for developing measles.

If symptoms develop, stay home and call the hotline at 1-844-944-3434 before visiting a healthcare provider.
