City of Grande Prairie renames Activity and Reception Centre

Jul 9, 2025 | 11:17 AM

The City of Grande Prairie is changing the name of the Activity and Reception Centre.

Oil company Keyera Corp has been awarded the naming rights for the centre which has been renamed Keyera Place Grande Prairie.

The facility was built in 2022 and boats a 16,000 square feet multi use-space, a 12-person meeting room and regularly hosting drop-in programs and children’s summer camps.

Naming rights partnerships are a great example of the power of engaging relationships, and the generous, entrepreneurial spirit of Grande Prairie. We’re proud to welcome Keyera to be part of the history of this facility, and we’re thankful for their partnership and the difference it will make in the community. Jackie Clayton, Mayor of the City of Grande Prairie

It’s an honour to see the newly named Keyera Place in Grande Prairie. As a proud employer and long-standing member of this vibrant community, we’re deeply committed to building a brighter future where our employees, neighbours, and families can thrive. This space reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities where we live and operate—creating opportunities for connection, wellness, and growth. Jonas Westlin, Keyara Northern Field Superintendent

It was constructed to provide year-round access to active, affordable programming for youth and to serve as an emergency reception centre in times of need.
