Missing man in Grande Prairie

UPDATE: July 11 10:23 p.m.: Grande Prairie RCMP say Daniel Machel has been located safe. Alberta RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance.

Mounties in Grande Prairie are requesting the public’s help in locating missing 20-year-old Daniel Machel.

Daniel is a resident of Grande Prairie, and was last seen leaving a residence on Township Road 714 in Grande Prairie on July 10, 2025.

He is known to frequent Muskoseepi Park, but has not been seen there so far.

Daniel is reported to have cognitive disabilities and may speak and react like a young child.

Police are worried for Daniel’s well-being and would like to speak with him.

He is described as:

Pale complexion
6 feet 2 inches tall
158 pounds
Brown hair
Blue eyes

Daniel was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, grey sweatpants, a backpack and blue/white shoes.
