WBL playoffs, Cowboys home game this weekend

Baseball

There is one game in the Wheatbelt Baseball League playoffs Friday.

Manning at the County Brewers starts at 7:15.

Sunday, the Brewers will be in Manning for a doubleheader. Game times will be 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Also, Sunday, Grimshaw in Sexsmith for Game 2. Game time will be 4 p.m.

The Huskies won Game 1 Thursday night at home by a score of 7-2.

Football

The Peace Country Cowboys host the Central Alberta Buccaneers Saturday.

Kick-off at 6:30 at CKC Field.

The Cowboys sit in fourth place in the Alberta Football League standings at 2-3.

The Buccaneers are last at 0-5.
