Beaverlodge Hospital ED undergoing three disruptions

The Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital will be without an on-site physician three times from this evening (Friday, July 18) until Tuesday, July 22.

The first will start tonight at 8 p.m. and last until Saturday, July 19 at 8 a.m.

A second closure will then go into effect on Sunday, July 20, at 8 a.m. until Monday, July 21, at 8 a.m.

Twelve hours later, the ED will be without a physician again, from 8 p.m. on Monday till 8 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22.

During that time, nursing staff remain on site for urgent triage, assessments and referrals while EMS will reroute 911 calls.

AHS added that the pilot virtual physician service may also be available during the disruptions.
