AHS confirms measles infected person visited Fairview Health Complex July 17-18

Alberta Health Services is notifying the public of another incident of a person with a confirmed case of measles visiting a public Fairview location.

This individual has been reported visiting the Fairview Health Complex emergency department while contagious, staying from 11:45 p.m. July 17 to 2:45 a.m. July 18.

Anyone who there at the same time and has had fewer then two doses of the measles vaccine may be at risk of infection.

If symptoms do develop, people should stay at home and call the measles hotline at 1-844-944-3434 before visiting any healthcare provider.
