Wabasca Hospital Emergency Department closed until Jul 27

The Wabasca Hospital emergency department will be will be temporarily closed until Sunday July 27.

Effective 6:00 p.m. Saturday July 26, the ED is closed due to an unexpected gap in clinical personnel, and will reopen 8:00 a.m. tomorrow.

Patients are asked to still call 911 if they have a medical emergency, as EMS remains available to transport them to area health care centres.

The disruption is a temporary measure and AHS is working to resolve it.
