Wildfire rating now high in Grande Prairie Forest Area

The Grande Prairie Forest Area Wildfire rating has returned to High.

Warmer temperatures have increased the danger level, and current conditions could lead to fast-moving wildfires.

Currently, a fire advisory is in effect for the area; any burning without a valid permit is prohibited.

Of the five fires currently burning in the Grande Prairie Forest Area, three are listed as being held, and the other two are under control.
