Veterans Memorial Gardens hosting Soldiers of Suicide Memorial Unveiling

Grande Prairie’s Veterans Memorial Gardens & Interpretive Centre will be hosting a ceremony tomorrow, honouring Canadian Forces veterans lost to suicide.

The Soldiers of Suicide Memorial aims to bring attention to the 370 Canadian Forces personnel lost to suicide since 1995, including 21 in 2023 alone.

The memorial will feature a trench lamp design, representing the mission to shine light into darkness and remove the stigma surrounding suicide.
