UPDATE: the AB4960 riders will be stopping at the southern parking lot of the Montrose Cultural Centre around noon today, August 28.

A group of bicyclists will be travelling through Grande Prairie on Thursday August 28, as part of their week-long fundraising ride for Alberta Search and Rescue.

The five riders began their journey on Sunday August 24, and have been riding 10-14 hours a day as they travel from the Chief Mountain Border Crossing to the Sixtieth Parallel Territorial Park; 1,800 km in a never-been-done-before ride.

The AB4960 ride is expected to come through Grande Prairie as they ride from Kakwa Campground to Grimshaw.

Everyone is invited to meet up with Grande Prairie Search and Rescue, to give donations and cheer the riders on.
