Experience Grande Prairie impacting traffic and transit services Aug.28-29

The City of Grande Prairie is advising residents of temporary road closures and transit impacts to support the Experience Grande Prairie event on Friday, August 29.

As of 6:30 a.m., Thursday August 28, the intersection of 101 Avenue and 101 Street has been closed, while 101 Avenue is open to local traffic only at 100 Street westbound, 101 Street both north and south, and 102 Street eastbound.

Transit wise, stops 802 and 804 are out of service now, and will remain out for the duration, with transit to detour north on 100 Street and return to the route at 103 Avenue.

On Friday, event fencing will be installed and 101 Avenue westbound will be fully closed at 100 Street and eastbound at 102 Street.
